Foresight
Foresight in higher education

The global higher education market is currently undergoing profound changes; those linked to the 4th industrial revolution, organized around the NBIC revolution and now artificial intelligence, are among the most important. In the short term, the organization of our campuses will be profoundly altered; while the world of employment will be transformed by the emergence of new professions, and the disappearance and evolution of current jobs, our universities must also prepare to launch new training courses. To assist the rectors and management teams of its member universities, IFUCA has set up a Higher Education Foresight Department. Its activities include: publication of an annual report on the "professions of the future"; publication of an annual report on Catholic higher education; organization of debates and seminars on the evolution of professions, and therefore of the new training courses to be created for students. Dr Corinne Mellul is in charge of research at IFCU and focuses her work on the transformations of higher education and work under the impact of technology. She is happy to give lectures and presentations at relevant events among member institutions and beyond.
