9th World Congress of Metaphysics

Conference following the Jubilee of the Educational World

The World Congress of Metaphysics is organized, in its ninth edition, by the Fondazione Idente di Studi e di Ricerca, the Fernando Rielo Foundation, the Sto. Domingo and Ibarra campuses of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL). This edition will be held in person at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, Rome, from November 3 to 6, 2025, immediately following the Jubilee of the Educational World.

The Congress brings together leading academics and researchers from various fields (philosophy, psychology, theology, education, etc.) to debate the fundamental questions of existence, reality and being. It also addresses the interrelationship between the experiential sciences, whose object of study is the vital and existential experience of human beings, and the experimental sciences, whose advances also imply the raising of ultimate questions beyond matter and quantification. Through the publications of this conference, we seek the keys to an encounter and a dialogue that sheds light on the challenges and problems posed by the humanities and experimental sciences from the foundation provided by metaphysics. In short, the aim is to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and to put metaphysics back at the heart of culture.
